Supporting Midlife

Wellness

Stress, anxiety, difficulty losing weight, low energy, poor sleep, loss of patience, skin changes, hair loss, brain fog, fatigue untouched by caffeine, memory issues, digestive issues, stomach pains ….

You are diligently doing everything you always have but it simply isn't giving you the same results. You look in the mirror and barely recognize yourself. You don’t feel like you once used to - not physically, not mentally, not emotionally. You find yourself uncomfortable in your body and mentally out of balance. The sleep struggles make it hard to concentrate or stay motivated to do all the things you hear you should be doing. At times you may find yourself overwhelmed in an unrecognizable way, feeling pulled between responsibilities to your family, career, and perhaps caring for your aging parents. You know you need to take care of yourself better and you want to , but you don’t know where to start.

You are not alone.

This is a whole new stage of life, often one many people are unprepared for. We get used to surviving, doing what needs to be done and often at the expense of our wellbeing. We are reassured our “time will come” and then we find ourselves in midlife, still wondering when that time will come. Here is the thing - the time will come when we make the time come.

Midlife is a time to reinvent yourself (or find yourself!) . To self-reflect and focus on you, maybe for the first time ever in your life. Some may even go through the “midlife crisis”, where they find themselves questioning their purpose in life and where they want to go from here. What if, instead of considering it a “midlife crisis” we see it as a midlife check point:

What needs attention and support in your body and mind?

Where do you want to go from here?

Who do you want to be?

How do you want to age?

What if the midpoint is not a crisis but an awakening?

Our Mission

At Quiet Moments Wellness, it is our mission to empower men and women in midlife to embrace this stage. We know you want more for yourself - to step out of surviving into thriving and we want to help you!

We want you to feel strong, balanced, energetic and stable in both body and mind. We do this by addressing root causes, removing barriers, correcting imbalances, making lifestyle changes, personalizing nutrition that works with your body and biochemistry, optimizing your sleep and taking stress management very seriously.

We are more than just body parts - each system affects another. We function as a whole. When we work with our body as a whole we open the door to transformation and sustainable change.

Why Holistic Nutrition?

Holistic nutrition is an approach to wellness that takes whole person, body, mind, and spirit, into consideration to foster optimal health and help restore balance within the body.

Instead of just treating symptoms (like weight gain or digestive issues), holistic nutrition seeks to understand and address the underlying root cause of the challenge. True change can only really happen when the root cause is addressed and balance restored in the body.

As much as holistic nutrition is about food, it is about so much more. It takes into consideration other aspects of a person’s life, like physical activity, sleep, stress levels, and mental health. True wellness is about working with the body and mind as a whole.

To function at its best our bodies need nutrients in the right quantities for our unique physiology (individual differences in each person's body, including genetics, metabolism, age, gender, and lifestyle). However, these nutritional requirements can vary based on your current situation. Holistic nutritionists are skilled at identifying barriers, nutrient deficiencies and imbalances that are contributing to your symptoms.
